When a fire sparked at Grenfell Tower in the early hours of Tuesday Morning, it took out the homes of hundreds of families and devastatingly claimed 17 lives so far. But with true British spirit, the community – and entire country – has pulled together to help where they can, famous faces included.
Adele privately went to the scene of the Grenfell Tower tragedy yesterday evening to comfort those affected by the incident, which took place just 14 miles away from where the fire took place.
People took to Twitter to share about the Grammy winner’s visit, with one tweet saying, ‘i’m so proud stanning a humble & genuine human being like you. i love you so much, queen @Adele… Adele was going around and hugging everyone she could to comfort them… [sic]’.
Rita Ora also went to the aftermath of the incident, going to one of the distribution centers set up in the wake of the tragedy to physically help with donations that were being made throughout the day. She was seen sorting out piles of donated clothes and carrying heavy cases of water as she helped out with her friends.
Lily Allen and TV chef Jamie Oliver also offered a helping hand, with Lily tweeting out support and going down to help with donations. Jamie offered free food and drinks to the victims.
If anyone need a bed or a lift, or tea tweet me and I'll follow back. #NorthKensington

While these stars did such an incredible thing to pull together and help out in such a horrific event, the true heroes were the incredible firefighters who risked their lives to put out the fire and save lives.

We are eternally grateful for the emergency services in the country who time and time again attend to these incidents without batting an eyelid.
