New Christmas Songs for 2016

1

If you spent any time shopping this past month (not online, but in like, an actual store), you probably heard the same, tired Christmas music a million times. In order to make the rest of the season feel a little less like a retail store, you need some new Christmas songs for 2016. I’ve done some digging and found a few newbies to add to your holiday music collection, including new original songs as well as new covers of old favorites.

Janet Devlin – ‘Wake Up It’s Christmas’

Janet, who came in 5th on the X Factor UK a few years back, has released her very own Christmas EP with this song as the lead single.

Rebecca and Fiona – ‘Cold As X-Mas’

Scandinavian dance pop stars Rebecca and Fiona use this music video to treat bad Christmas presents like pinatas on the streets of Stockholm.

October London – ‘Santa Drop Me Some Loot’

Signed to Snoop Dogg and Jazze Pha’s label, October London is making waves with this brand new Christmas tune.

Katie Melua –  ‘O Holy Night’

The closing song from her new album ‘In Winter’, Katie sings alongside an acoustic guitar and harmonies from the Gori Women’s Choir.

Angela C. Howell – ‘Snap Me A Selfie, Santa’

Probably the most stereotypical “2016” song on this list, Angela combines the spirit of Christmas with the spirit of selfies.

Malaika – ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’

Fresh off her win at the Unsigned Music Awards, Malaika covers one of pop music’s most beloved Christmas songs.

Nathan Sykes – ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’

Nathan covers a Christmas classic live in front of London’s 02 Arena and the iconic Coca-Cola truck.

Matt Terry – ‘When Christmas Comes Around’

Fresh off his X Factor UK win, Matt is joining in the holiday excitement with this debut single.
