Taylor Swift is officially on TikTok! Swifties have to sleep with one eye open at night to keep up with Taylor’s surprises but we never saw this one coming. Today is the two-year anniversary of Lover, but interestingly her post makes no mention of the album.
The newly created profile reads, ‘This is pretty much just a cat account,’ which is pretty accurate to be fair if its content is going to be anything like the rest of her social media. In under an hour, the account has already surpassed 168k followers and counting.
Taylor’s first TikTok just proves how insane she is at planning (she is a self-confessed easter egg queen after all) as it appears to have been in the works for over a year. Beginning with folklore‘s release on 24th July 2020, the clip celebrates her past three albums (including evermore and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and ends with Red (Taylor’s Version) which is out on 19th November 2021.
The video appears to have been filmed over the course of several months as it transitions from one album era to the next, with Taylor rocking signature looks from each. She lip-syncs along to a snippet of Dave’s ‘Screwface Capital’ which namedrops her in the lyric “My outstanding payments swift like Taylor.”
She captioned the post, ‘Lots going on at the moment: Red (my version) vinyl is up for presale on my site and oh I’m on tiktok now let the games begin #SwiftTok’ with a cute cat emoji, of course.
We can’t wait to see what she posts next!
