Not only is Nick J off the chain, it’s also his birthday! To celebrate this Jonas Brother, we’ve got a round-up of ten of the singer’s greatest moments of his past year to celebrate his 29th birthday.

1. The release of Dash & Lily, where he worked as an executive producer

The holiday-themed show debuted on Netflix last November, and Nick collaborated with Stranger Things producer, Shawn Levy. He and his brothers also performed “Like It’s Christmas”, and Nick had a small cameo as himself on the show.

2. The return of solo Nick

Just when we thought things between the Jonas Brothers were all patched up (IYKYK), Nick started teasing a brand new solo era. However, we don’t have any reason to worry about the status of the band; Joe and Kevin are incredibly supportive of Nick’s side projects. “Spaceman” was a pleasant pop and R&B surprise we were definitely not expecting this year.

3. Pulling double-duty on Saturday Night Live

To go along with his new music, Nick got a gig any musician would dream about: hosting and performing duties on SNL. We got to see his acting chops once again, and to our surprise, didn’t even break character. He performed “Spaceman” for the first time, and he debuted “This Is Heaven” on the show.

4. Coached for the 20th season of The Voice

Nick returned to coach aspiring singers for his second season of The Voice. Although his team didn’t win, perhaps that means he’ll be on the hit music competition show again.

5. Starred in Chaos Walking

In a very busy spring for the multihyphenate, he starred alongside Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland in Chaos Walking.

6. The release of his fourth solo album, Spaceman

Nick tells an intriguing story throughout Spaceman, and organizes the 11 tracks into four themes: distance, indulgence, euphoria, and commitment. The album also offers seamless transitions, and is meant to be listened to top-to-bottom.

7. Announced the Oscar nominations with his wife, Priyanka

Nick and his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, were live from London back in March to announce the nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards.

8. Hosted the Billboard Music Awards

His expert hosting abilities for SNL earlier this year made Nick the perfect candidate to host this year’s Billboard Music Awards. He also performed a medley with his brothers at the very end of the show, and debuted a little bit of their song “Remember This”.

9. Embraced his sporty side in honor of the Olympic Games

Before the Olympic Games got underway in Tokyo, the Jonas Brothers took on some sporty challenges against each other in Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers, and where they even met with a few Olympians like gymnast Laurie Hernandez.

10. Started touring with his brothers again

Live music has made a comeback, and the Jonas Brothers are on the road again for their Remember This Tour. We’ve already gotten some iconic moments, and we’re just happy to see Nick in his happy place again.
