The GRAMMYs are officially upon us, and the hype is more intense than ever this year. While this year’s award show will look a lot different than past years, there’s an excellent lineup of performers for the show — including Harry Styles, the former One Direction member and first-time GRAMMY nominee.

Variety recently broke the news that Harry would be the opening act for this year’s show, and of course, the Harries are thrilled with the announcement.

In anticipation of his GRAMMYs opener, we’re taking a look back at the top five live performances from the ‘Golden’ boy during the Fine Line era (in no particular order).

NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

NPR dropped Harry’s Tiny Desk Concert at the very beginning of lockdowns across the world. The intimate performance included stripped-back renditions of fan favorites like ‘Adore You’ and ‘Cherry.’ Harry rocked a soft, light blue sweater with a chick hatching from an egg — the content we all needed to navigate the uncertainty of 2020.

BBC Radio One Live Lounge

Harry’s Live Lounge in 2019 gifted us with his rendition of Paul McCartney’s ‘Wonderful Christmastime’ and queen Lizzo’s smash hit ‘Juice.’ The cover sparked the adorable friendship between Harry and queen Lizzo herself that we never knew we needed!

Double Duty at SNL 2019

Harry’s time hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live showcased his comedic chops with hilarious skits like Sarah Lee and Joan’s Song. But the most memorable part of his time on SNL was the very first live performance of GRAMMY-nominated pop perfection ‘Watermelon Sugar.’

One Night Only at The Forum

One Night Only at the Forum was such a special event, with fans coming together to celebrate the official release of Fine Line with Harry. Not only did Harry perform every song from the album all the way through, but the show also included surprise performances, including ‘Landslide’ sung alongside the legendary Stevie Nicks herself.

Jingle Ball 2020

Harry’s Jingle Ball performance (his last performance of 2020) was one of his best and most memorable of the year. The pre-recorded set featured The Nationals, who served as Harry’s band for the set and brought their distinctive sound and flair to the performance.
