It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for—Z2 is coming. Since Zayn‘s release of Mind of Mine in 2015, ironically debuting on the dreaded day he decided to leave One Direction, the singer has been extremely MIA with the occasional collaboration with big stars.

Now with his newly released single ‘Dusk Till Dawn,’ Zayn is ready to break out onto the music scene once again. It’s left us eagerly awaiting what he might do next and he’s ready to reassure everyone that there’s nothing to worry about.

Zayn’s been very open about his struggle with anxiety and perhaps worrying fans for his future career, wanting nothing more than for him to overcome it and succeed as much as he can. Zayn’s caught a lot of heat for cancelling a handful of appearances and performances in the past year, often not considering his constant problems with anxiety.

His openness about his anxiety has no doubt helped onlookers understand his situation as well as inspire others to do the same. “People have a better perspective of where I was coming from at the time and that it wasn’t me being ungrateful or unaware of the opportunities that were in front of me. It was just me struggling with being able to actually be there. I’m glad I got that off my chest. You have to clear the air,” Zayn confesses.

But in a recent interview with The Fader, Zayn has no complaints about life at the moment, stating that he’s happy and healthy. “I’m going to bed quite early at the minute. I’ve been working in the studio throughout the day and going to bed at a reasonable time, getting up at reasonable times. Eating all my meals. I’ve got a gym at the house, so I’ve starting doing a bit of training. My fans can rest assured everything is under control,” he says.

So there you have it—Zayn’s happy and ready to put more music into the world. With a newfound confidence and optimistic outlook, he’s giving us all the reassurance we need.

Um. Louis Tomlinson opened up about his anxiety and self-worth issues and everyone said he was seeking attention for it. Zayn does it and it’s brave? Double standards, much?
