Christmas came early for Ahgases this year! GOT7’s Youngjae released his new holiday single “Walk With Me” (같이 걸어가줘요), a hopeful love song that is making us feel cozy inside the more we listen to it.

The song is paired with a music video. Youngjae is busy finishing setting up a beautiful Christmas tree in a fully-decorated room for the upcoming festivities, and then serenades Ahgases with his sweet-sounding and perfect vocals.

The lyrics express hope, love and the desire to take a walk side-by-side with your significant other in the cold winter breeze, but still be able to feel the warmth around them. The lyrics are nothing but heartfelt, “Please take one step closer to me / All I want is to see you just a little closer / Shall we look into each other’s eyes? / Please take my hand, walk with me” and “It feels more than the dream I dream / Everything that unfolds in front of me / Is so beautiful that I have nothing more to wish for”.

This song has moved Ahgases to tears; during Youngjae’s recent VLive to celebrate the single release, fans have let the artist know they’ve been tearing up while listening to the song. Youngaje has quickly reassured fans that there is no need to cry as this is not a sad song.

“Walk With Me” (같이 걸어가줘요) is the first comeback after the release of the EP COLORS from Ars in October. With COLORS, Youngjae showed a new side of himself; the songs have very different colours from Youngjae’s previous releases – mostly high-quality ballads – but flow harmoniously with each other to create his best painting yet.

The EP has been received very well worldwide, reaching #1 in 31 countries on iTunes and #2 in the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. The lead single “Vibin’” reached #1 on iTunes in 26 countries and peaked #1 on Genie Top 200.

Meanwhile, Youngjae will star in the web drama Love & Wish, distributed by Kakao TV in South Korea and available globally on Viki. The web drama is based on a webtoon that has reached 1.5 million subscribers. It narrates a candid story about high school students’ love, friendship, and personal growth. The nine-episode drama premieres on December 24 on Viki and Kakao TV.
