Halsey‘s third album is coming soon, and the artwork for it was unveiled in the coolest way. After days of cryptic teasing, she tweeted a link to a website (revealing its title as ‘Manic’) where fans could watch a live stream of her painting a giant self-portrait in complete silence. The dedication is real.

The masterpiece took over seven-and-a-half hours to create and was then released as a time-lapse visual for the music video of her new single ‘Graveyard’. The portrait depicts Halsey wearing makeup resembling a black eye which ties in with the song’s hard-hitting message. With lyrics like “When the thing you love the most is the detriment” and “The warning signs can feel like they’re butterflies,” it talks about being stuck in a dangerous relationship that’s possibly abusive.

Both the track and the painting demonstrate Halsey’s incredible talent and passion as an artist, so it’s no surprise that fans are obsessed. We’ve rounded up the best reactions from Twitter:
