EXO’s Leader Suho has finally made his long-awaited solo debut on March 30 with the mini-album “Self-Portrait” and as well as releasing a music video for the title track “Let’s Love”.
“Let’s Love” gives the listeners a warm feeling with its meaningful message and artistic visuals that aim to represent Suho’s identity. The title track has a warm modern rock vibe highlighting Suho’s angelic voice and talks about having the courage to love even when those feelings are not easy to express. “Let’s Love” is also EXO’s team motto that was created by Suho himself, representing his identity as EXO’s leader and to show his affection to EXO-L.
Suho personally participated in the writing process for all six tracks in the album and created the album’s concept. Thought the songs, Suho wants to express the feelings he experienced during his journey with EXO since the group debuted eight years ago (8th March 2012)
“Self-Portrait” ranked No.1 on weekly album charts in Korea, such as Hanteo, Synnara, Yes24 and other weekly album charts. It also ranked No.1 in 53 different countries on the iTunes Top Album Chart including France, Spain, India, Russia, Brazil. In addition, the mini-album ranked No.1 on the Digital Album Sales Chart in China’s QQ Music, Kuguo Music, and more.
