Ella Henderson kicks off 2022 with new single Brave

It's shaping up to be a big year for the singer

2022 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for Ella Henderson fans, as she kicks off the year with a new single called ‘Brave’.

‘Brave’ is an empowering piano ballad which builds up to the chorus and highlights Ella’s rich vocals. The lyrics see her promise “When trouble wrecks your heart, and the world’s gone dark, and your soul is black and blue / Baby, I’ll be brave for you”.

Although the single is new, this isn’t actually the first time fans have heard ‘Brave’ as Ella first debuted the song during her sold-out show at London’s Hoxton Hall in November 2019.

She performed it for a second time during her Billboard Live At-Home concert in April 2020, where she spoke about why it was important to her. “Originally, we wrote this song when I was in a place where I still needed to build my self-confidence again, and I guess this song right now kind of resonated with me even more during this, and I think with what’s going on in the world right now.”

With the release comes the exciting news that the song will feature on Ella’s upcoming second album! Titled Everything I Didn’t Say, the record has 16 tracks and will be out on 11th March 2022. It also features her 2021 collab with Tom Grennan ‘Let’s Go Home Together’.

In a statement, Ella says:

“I’m so excited to finally share the news that my second album Everything I Didn’t Say is coming in March! I know it’s been a long time coming but I wanted to take the time to really follow my heart and vision, to create something that fully represented me, who I am today and what I stand for. I am so ready to finally share this body of work! It’s all here… the good, the bad, the ugly! This record means absolutely everything to me.”

It’s been a long wait, as it’s been over 8 years since the release of her debut album Chapter One, but we’re super excited to get to hear all the new music Ella has in store for us this year.
