After saying goodbye to 2021 with the pre-release single ‘Who Are You’ – featuring Red Velvet’s Seulgi – BamBam is ready to welcome the new year with a comeback. The GOT7 rapper and singer revealed more information about his new mini-album [B],  which will be released on January 18 at 6 pm KST.

The singer has introduced the upcoming release with the pre-single ‘Who Are You’ – featuring Red Velvet’s Seulgi on December 28. The pre-single has been praised globally and took over the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 22 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, France, Malaysia, Poland, and Thailand. It entered the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart at #10.

[B] will feature six tracks, including the two title tracks ‘Who Are You’ and ‘Slow Mo’ as the second title track. For ‘Slow Mo’, BamBam worked with American singer and songwriter Pink Sweat$ on the track’s lyrics, composition, and arrangement. In a recent V LIVE, BamBam revealed that he made ‘Slow Mo’ two-and-a-half years ago. For this mini-album, BamBam has also worked on the lyrics for ‘Intro’ (Satellites), ‘Let Me Love You’, and ‘Ride or Die’.

Over the past few days, the singer has teased fans with many concept photos showing different sides of [B], as we can see in the pictures for the mini-album announcement and the title poster.

With the release of ‘Who Are You’, BamBam has gone darker and more ethereal with the concept. He kept this concept across the first four sets of concept photos shared; BamBam is seen posing next to a statue of an angel, portraying the intensity of the feelings we’ve seen in the previous concept photos for ‘Who Are You’ and in its music video.

The most recent concept photos are in contrast with the previous releases, showing a much brighter and colourful BamBam and a different fashion style.

It feels like fans will enter a multifaceted world when [B] is released.

[B] is the second mini-album from BamBam, after the release of his solo-debut mini-album riBBon in June 2021. riBBon — which contains six tracks with a total of 18 minutes and 25 seconds — bridges different genres that display BamBam’s style and artistry as well as emotions and visuals.

Meanwhile, ‘Who Are You’ has been announced as the highest-ranking new top 10 song on this week’s Billboard’s Hot Trending Song chart powered by Twitter. The song peaked at No.7 after entering the chart at No.12 last week.
