Nikki and Mallory team up in the newest episode, "Just Jen"

Last week, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law hinted at Daredevil’s return to the MCU. Sadly, he never showed up nor was he even mentioned in this episode. But this self-contained wedding episode makes up for it. Episode six, “Just Jen”, finds Jen (Tatiana Maslany) being invited to her high school friend’s wedding. As Jen says to the camera, “Yes, it’s a self-contained wedding episode. And if you think this is happening at an inconvenient time in the season, you’re right. Cause that’s how weddings always are.” Touché Jen, touché.

Jen shows up at the rehearsal dinner as She-Hulk. (Clearly, she is still dealing with a few insecurities from her previous dates.) Her friend from high school, Lulu (Patti Harrison) is less than thrilled to see Jen in Hulk form. It’s her day after all! So, Jen obliges and promises to be “just Jen” for the wedding.

As Jen is away, Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga) is helping Mallory Book (Renée Elise Goldsberry) with a case. They are taking on Mr. Hollis or, as he calls himself, Mr. Immortal because he literally can’t die. To prove his point, he jumps out the window and is completely fine. But the reason he needs legal advice is he is trying to settle a divorce but as it turns out, he has been married many times before. Every time the tough conversation about divorce comes up, he fakes his death… but rest assured, he claims he is a nice guy!

Jen and Lulu catch up but Lulu only seems to care if Jen is dating anyone, regardless of how her career is going… the awkward conversation doesn’t last long anyway as Titania (Jameela Jamil) shows up. She claims is dating a friend of the groom. Lucky for Jen, Lulu can’t see the real reason Titania is at her wedding so Jen finds solace outside away from everyone but then a very attractive, nice guy, Josh (Trevor Salter) flirts with her. (See Jen, you deserve so much better!)

While Jen is stuck with clean-up duty at the rehearsal dinner, Nikki and Mallory begrudgingly take on Mr. Immortal’s case. They are facilitating a talk with his eight, yes, eight exes. It’s a very funny scene that lets Gonzaga and Goldsberry shine.

It’s the next day though and Jen finally meets the groomsman who she will walk down the aisle with. It’s none other than Jonathan, Lulu’s old and crippled dog. So Jen gets absolutely wasted and has the time of her life. Meanwhile, Nikki is being a boss and figuring out to fairly compensate Mr. Immortal’s exes.

Josh meets up with Jen again and I must say, their cute, nervous energy is very fun to watch. Jen admits that she just wanted to show up to a wedding and prove she is actually doing good, regardless if she has a partner or not. Jen’s heart-to-heart with Josh gets interrupted by her own stomach.  As she is throwing up, Titania comes up to soothe her by sucker punching her in the gut. To be fair Titania did warn Jen that their feud wasn’t over…

It takes Jen a couple of times to turn to Hulk form but once she does, she brings the fight right back to Titania. Before Jen can do any real damage, Titania trips on broken glass and knocks her veneers out. Lulu walks in and despite Jen being in Hulk form, she is so happy She-Hulk showed up at her wedding.

As Mallory and Nikki celebrate their win, they browse a website, Intelligencia, that was mentioned in the legal battle. It’s the MCU’s version of the dark web. Apparently, there have been threats made against She-Hulk’s life. Nikki rightfully calls Jen to warn her but Jen is enjoying fries with Josh to pick up her phone.

Don’t worry though because the episode ends with very ominous music with someone in a lab coat and in gloves handling the broke needle Jen ruined when those goons tried to extract her blood… it looks like more trouble is on the way for She-Hulk. With only three more episodes left, hopefully, all will be revealed soon!
