Why you need to experience ‘Game of Thrones’ IRL

There aren’t many shows like ‘Game of Thrones‘. When I first watched it, I didn’t expect I’d be this into it. It’s a show I wouldn’t normally watch, however here I am six seasons in. The writers do not hold back. The books are savage, the show is brutal and I’m just a mess. I’m literally in shock 95% of the time. And now, something epic is about to happen. More epic than Jon Snow being a Targaryen. And now you’ll be able to experience ‘Game of Thrones’ behind the scenes in real life.

Winter has come early. To celebrate the release of ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 on DVD and Blu-ray, HBO is doing it’s thing and bringing the show’s bonus features to life. Like, fans will get to experience a whole bunch of stuff in real life. This is my dream come true, honestly.

Fans will get to actually sit on the Iron Throne (JEALOUS) and take heaps of photos and videos inside the Temple of the Dosh Khaleen. Because, who wouldn’t want to experience the place Daenerys burnt to the ground and emerged unburnt? AMAZING. One of my favourite things the fans also get to do is hold the door to save Bran. HODOR. No one let go of that damn door for god’s sake.

Still not convinced? There’s also an exclusive Virtual Reality experience that lets fans actually train for battle in Westeros. HOW COOL IS THAT? All hail the 21st century and all its technological wonders. I’m getting super excited just writing this. It’s full of epicness and if you don’t attend, I’ll be so disrespected.

‘Game of Thrones: Season 6 – Behind the Scenes’ event will begin in Astor Place, New York on November 18th and 19th before traveling to Chicago and Los Angeles. Check out all the details and register here. And if you haven’t picked up your copy of ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, get in that car now. You’re missing out on all the awesome extra bonus features. We could all use a little more Jon and Daenerys in our lives.
