It’s almost time for more of our favourite TV shows to return this October. What does this mean? I will be socially unavailable. Sorry friends, I’ve got my priorities in order. If anybody disturbs me, beware. I will end you.
Seeing as we’re one week away from October (I know, wtf?), here are 10 TV shows you literally cannot miss.
1. ‘SUPERNATURAL’ (THE CW)
My absolute favourite show ever. If you don’t watch ‘Supernatural’, don’t talk to me. I’ve been with this show for 12 years, it’s too late to turn back now. Mary Winchester is back, Sam is kidnapped and Dean has to save them both. Season 12 premieres Oct. 13th.
2. ‘THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ (THE CW)
The final season. The last hurrah. I think the question on everyone’s minds is “will Elena return?” God, I hope so. She’s pretty much the saving grace for this season. However, in the world of Mystic Falls, anything can happen. Season 8 premieres Oct. 21st.
3. ‘THE WALKING DEAD’ (AMC)
Probably the most anticipated return of the year, with someone’s life hanging in the balance and no answer as to whom it could be. The tension is so real. Prepare yourself. Season 7 premieres Oct. 23rd.
4. ‘SUPERGIRL’ (THE CW)
I was pleasantly surprised by how addicted I was to this show. The characters were amazing, the story was almost as amazing, and the vibe was girl power. So good! With the big move from CBS to The CW, this season of ‘Supergirl’ looks like it’ll be phenomenal. Also Tyler Hoechlin as Superman (god bless). Season 2 premieres on Oct. 10th.
5. ‘SCORPION’ (CBS)
If you love crime shows with a little twist, this is the show for you. With a team full of geniuses in their respective field, these characters never seem to amaze me. Season 3 premieres Oct. 3rd.
6. ‘THE FLASH’ (THE CW)
He’s the fastest man alive. And he’s just changed the entire timeline of earth resulting in Flashpoint. Dammit Barry, seriously? So frustrating but I feel like this is going to be a great storyline. Season 3 premieres Oct. 4th.
7. ‘ARROW’ (THE CW)
Give me Laurel back and maybe I’ll tune into the new season. I’m still angry at the writers to be honest. In saying that, the new season actually looks really interesting. Also, this will be Oliver’s last year on the island. If you watch ‘Supergirl’ and ‘The Flash’ then you’ll have to tune into ‘Arrow’ too. Season 5 premieres Oct. 5th.
8. ‘BLACK MIRROR’ (NETFLIX)
The critically acclaimed British anthology series is back with new episodes this month. A very interesting series which I found quite addictive after two nights of binge watching. Blessing you Netflix because the entirety of season 3 premieres on Oct. 21st.
9. SHAMELESS U.S. (SHOWTIME)
What’s not to love about this show? The characters or the fact that the show focuses on such important topics in our society? I call it “the show that isn’t afraid to go that extra mile”. Season 7 premieres on Oct. 2nd.
10. ‘JANE THE VIRGIN’ (THE CW)
Our favourite virgin is back and she brings a few cliffhangers with her. We need answers and hopefully, we’ll get them soon. This waiting game is too much. Season 3 premieres Oct. 17th.
