Get excited, ZQUAD, it looks like Zayn Malik may very well be touring his second album!
Speaking to the ‘Evening Standard‘ ahead of his Versus Versace capsule collection release, Zayn talked about his anxiety which led to a cancellation of shows.
“It’s not a thing that you just get rid of overnight but it’s getting to a much more manageable place,” he said. “I think it came from a lack of confidence, just a sense of disbelief [sic] in myself.”
He explained that going solo has helped. “You have a certain sense of control, which is nice. And I’m more confident in my ability and what I want to give to my fans. I can think of people coming out to see me perform as a positive thing now, rather than something I am dreading.”
The interviewer went on to add, “”This is good news, given that once the new album is released, he’ll be touring it to death worldwide.”
This sounds like good news to me! He’s been in New York finishing the final songs of his sophomore album, so we’re at the beginning of the ZM2 era. It looks like we’ll be trying to snap up tickets to see our Bradford babe sooner than we think (once our bank accounts have recovered from buying Harry Styles tickets).
Zayn has just released his Versus Versace capsule collection, which is available to buy now.
