One group that’s currently claiming the spotlight is P1Harmony (피원하모니). The Korean boy group are at the forefront of their career after claiming a spot in the Top 40 radio chart in the US. After debuting in October 2020, it’s time for KEEHO, JONGSEOB, SOUL, INTAK, THEO and JIUNG to shine even brighter with the release of their first full album 때깔 (Killin’ It).

Following six mini albums, P1HARMONY felt it was the right moment to show more of themselves. The songs are self-written and composed by the band, the album introduces 10 new songs that highlight their talent in a distinctive and varied way. They kick the album off with the lead single and the album title, “때깔 (Killin’ It)” – which is influenced by rap, K-pop and 90s’ hip-hop. The single is accompanied by a visually striking and aesthetically pleasing music video.

Following up with the second track of the album, “Late Night Calls” which immediately brings a different vibe into the album; a slow and calm but yet sentimental track where they’re singing about that one person they miss their love from. The tears have not even been wiped away or “Everybody Clap” starts with an outstanding energetic tune, which would sound really good live at one of their shows. The other tunes on the record are very pleasing to the ear to listen to. From “2Nite” which gives a nice pre-party vibe to “Street Star” which sounds very authentic when you hear the rap part in the song and up-tempo beat. It’s a wind of different emotions, especially when the final song “I See U” comes on – a perfect number to end a very strong and special album with.

With their first full-length album 때깔 (Killin’ It) P1Harmony leave a fresh mark behind in K-pop. With that being said, we can’t wait what comes next for the group! – A world tour would be exciting…
