SHINee’s KEY announces new album Gasoline

SHINee’s KEY is coming back with his second full-length album Gasoline later this month. Gasoline is set to be released on August 30 and it’s KEY’s first solo release in nearly a year – the mini-album Bad Love was released on September 27 last year.

According to SM Entertainment, Gasoline contains 11 songs of various genres, showcasing KEY’s musical colours, including the title track ‘Gasoline’. KEY announced the album’s title and release day with a Halloween-esque poster; the overall concept for Gasoline seems to be along the lines of ‘how to be scary and cute’.

Moreover, KEY has released the schedule for Gasoline teasers and promotional activities. Content will start to roll out from August 16 with a teaser poster; a mood sample on August 17; teaser images will drop from August 21 to August 24. On August 25, KEY will share album details. The music video teaser of ‘Gasoline’ will be released on August 29, a day before the full music video and the album release.

KEY made his solo debut in 2018 with the single ‘Forever Yours’ and released his first full-length album Face in the same year.

Gasoline will be released digitally and in stores. The physical album will have three versions: Booklet, Floppy and VHS. The Booklet version comes with a CD, a 96-page booklet, a sticker, one of 2 postcards and one of 2 photo cards; the Floppy version comes with a CD, a 24 pages booklet, a sticker, a folded poster and one of 2 possible photo cards; the VHS version includes the CD, 96-page booklet, a folded poster, four postcards, one of 2 possible photo cards, and a collector card set.

Gasoline will be released on August 30 at 6 pm KST.
