Samira made her solo debut with the single ‘Like This, Like That’ and officially started to claim her spot in the pop world with the edgy, dance-pop banger.

Like This, Like That’ hits with icy synths backed by a bass-heavy house beat warmed by Samira’s sultry vocals. The single is co-written by Samira with Cutfather, who also produced the track and previously worked with Kylie Minogue ad The Pussycat Dolls.

On working with a legend in pop music such Cutfather, Samira said: “I had an incredible time writing this song in Copenhagen with Cutfather and his team. As soon as I heard the final version I knew it had to be my first solo release, it’s so me! It’s dark, sexy and mysterious – a real statement of intent, and the perfect track to show the world who I am as an artist”.

If Samira’s voice sounds familiar is because last year she eased her way into the music industry with the summer hit ‘I Love You Smile’, a cover of the 90s Shanice classic and a collaboration with dance collective W.D.C.. The song amassed over 3 million streams and reached Top 5 on the UK Club Chart.

After spending the last 18 months in the studio, writing with some of the industry’s biggest hitmakers, including Tre-Jean Marie (Little Mix, FLO), Cutfather (Demi Lovato, The Pussycat Dolls), Kal Lavelle (Ed Sheeran), Ryan Ashley (H.E.R., Anne-Marie), Lil Eddie (Rita Ora, Maluma) and more, Samira is stepping into the spotlight in a big way this year with a string of dance-pop bangers that are sure to soundtrack countless parties this summer.
