Maisie Peters has been confirmed to support Ed Sheeran on his 2022  + – = ÷ x Tour’ (pronounced ‘The Mathematics Tour’). The 21-year-old singer-songwriter released her debut album You Signed Up For This in August and is currently signed to Ed’s label Gingerbread Records.

The tour, which kicks off in April, will see Ed play 54 shows across the UK and Europe, including five nights at Wembley Stadium. Maisie will support him in all of the cities except the last three (Munich, Zurich, Frankfurt) where he’ll be joined by ‘Black Hole’ singer Griff.

Speaking about the news, Maisie said: “It’s a dream to get to support Ed on this tour. Playing venues like these with an artist like Ed is something beyond the realm of anything I ever thought possible, and I’m so excited to be going out on tour with him this summer.”

She went into further detail in an Instagram post, writing:

“i can’t believe this poster is real but it is i’m going on tour with @teddysphotos all summer :’) playing venues like these with someone like ed is something just so totally beyond the realm of anything you ever think possible when you’re 14 and pick up a guitar and learn lego house on ultimate guitar, and i don’t think i’ll really ever get over it. it was an honour to be asked and i promise i will be practising and rehearsing and writing to make it the best possible show i can give because this is such a once in one million lifetimes experience like. wembley stadium!!!! 5 times!!!!! 😮 see u out there for potentially the most feral summer of our lives <3”

On Thursday, Maisie will play an intimate show at London’s Omeara as part of Brits Week 2022, before embarking on her sold-out US headline tour which begins in Minneapolis on 1st March and includes shows at New York’s Webster Hall and LA’s El Rey Theatre.

While many dates are sold out, tickets are still available for Ed’s tour at edsheeran.com.
