K-Pop idol KIHYUN, member of the legendary group MONSTA X, has released an English version of the title track ‘So Good’ from his newest EP BORDERLINE. The mini album initially released on July 7, and peaked at #6 on South Korea’s Circle Chart.

This new edition of ‘So Good’ maintains the sentiment from the original track, while portraying those feelings in a way that feels more raw and resentful. Both versions contain a message of feeling betrayed by someone meant to offer guidance and support, but the English lyrics paired with Kihyun’s emotional performance makes this iteration feel like a different listening experience entirely (rather than the same lines directly translated bar-for-bar). The song builds up from a softer acoustic pop-rock sound, to a boisterous and vulnerable ballad that takes you on a bittersweet journey.

Kihyun has been flexing his vocal power since MONSTA X was formed through the 2014 survival show No.Mercy, along with making a name for himself as a solo artist. His debut album VOYAGER released in 2022, followed by the EP YOUTH later that same year. Along with putting in over a decade of work as a performer and singer, he’s been credited several times over the years as a writer for both his solo music and MONSTA X’s discography.
