The Jonas Brothers have been making headlines this week as they were honored with their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony took place at the beginning of the week with a huge crowd of fans there to support the brothers.
Nick, Kevin and Joe each did a thank you speech to their families and to their fans. The trio, who shot to fame by starring on Disney Channel, were each handed a plaque as their iconic pink star was revealed. But this wasn’t the only exciting thing to happen during the ceremony! Towards the end, Nick revealed:
I think we should make a quick announcement. We are excited to announce today that our new album, The Album, will be coming out May 5.
The Album is due to be the Jonas Brothers’ sixth studio album and follows their comeback album from 2019, Happiness Begins. It is set to be a 70s sounding album with inspiration coming in from their new creative partner, Jon Bellion. They have all already teased the album on their social media.
With the album being based around a 70s theme, the brothers have said they have been influenced most by the Bee Gees. Kevin said: “They were a huge influence in our lives, growing up and listening to them with our father. And obviously, as we grew up being three brothers in a band, we definitely understood similarities.”
As well as The Album being announced, the Jonas Brothers have also teased their fans with the potential of an upcoming tour. So all in all, it’s an extremely exciting time to be a Jonas Brothers fan!
The Album will be released on 5th May, pre-save it here.
