NCT DREAM have unveiled the title and details for their highly anticipated sophomore album, set to be released on March 28.

Titled Glitch Mode, the group will make their first comeback after nine months since the release of Hello Future (June 2021), the repackaged version of their May 2021 debut studio album Hot Sauce.

SM Entertainment announced the return of NCT DREAM on the group’s official social media channels with a teaser animation announcing the album’s title in various typography styles and designs, introducing what possible concepts we might see from the group in the following weeks.

The label have also shared the full video of NCT DREAM’s 2nd kick-off meeting. “The new album will be an album that shows whether we deserved all that luck we received”, says Mark in the video.

Glitch Mode contains 11 tracks, and follows the success of their triple million-seller debut album Hot Sauce. NCT DREAM keep working on establishing their career and are undoubtedly one of the most exciting groups with highly anticipated comebacks. As the pre-orders for Glitch Mode demonstrate, the album has now surpassed the 150,000 pre-orders on the website Ktwon4u only.

2021 was a pivotal year for NCT DREAM. The pre-sales of Hot Sauce exceeded 1.71 million copies a day before its release – setting a new record as SM Entertainment’s highest pre-ordered album of all time. With the combined sales of Hot Sauce and Hello Future, NCT DREAM received the title of ‘three million seller’ group. The group were awarded the Top 10 Bonsang Award at the 2021 Melon Music Awards 2021 (MMA) and the Worldwide Fans Choice Top 10 at Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2021. They also won awards at the Seoul Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and Hanteo Music Awards.

NCT DREAM are the third sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT. The group debuted on August 25, 2016 with the single ‘Chewing Gum’ and a lineup of seven members – Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. NCT Dream was initially formed to follow an age-based admission-graduation system, in which members would leave the sub-unit after reaching the age of majority (20 in Korean age, 19 internationally); SM Entertainment announced in April 2020 that the system would be removed to prefer a fixed group consisting of the boyband’s seven original members.

Hot Sauce saw the return of Mark Lee, who hasn’t been featured in the group since ‘Candle Light’ in 2018.

Fans have been looking forward to NCT DREAM’s 2022 comeback and are excited to explore what concepts and music styles the septet will release soon.
