Craig David has finally announced the release of a brand new album and our noughties inner child is freaking the hell out.  We’re pretty sure that you’ve had a fair few of his songs blasting out your speakers over the years, from classics such as ‘7 Days’ to ‘What’s Your Flava’ – there are far too many for us to name a favourite.

Let’s ‘Re-e-wind’…

It’s been 16 years since the release of his debut ‘Born To Do It’ and 6 years since his last studio album ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’. This HAS to be the ultimate come back album!

Fast forward to 2015…

Making his initial come back in November 2015 with the track ‘When The Bassline Drops’ featuring Big Narstie, followed by his ‘Nothing Like This’ collaboration with Blonde, we’re more than ready to hear what the rest of the album sounds like.

Having sold over 15 million albums, achieving 16 Top Ten hits and multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries, we’re pretty certain that the chart will be dominated by his latest offering.

The album announcement came shortly after Craig (yeah we’re on first name terms) released a video for his new single ‘Aint Giving Up’ with Sigala which we’ll soon hear a Live Lounge version of in September.

Maintaining his original garage vibes with a hint of R’n’B, you cannot fail to recognise his distinctive sound. Speaking about the record he said,  “I’m back in that 16-year-old kid mode; hungry, passionate and making music that I’m truly proud”.

Appearing this weekend at V Festival, followed by Fusion and Bestival in September, he also plays a pair of headline gigs at Brixton O2 Academy on October 20th and is at Manchester Academy the day after. We’re hoping he’ll give us a preview of what’s to come on this highly anticipated album.

‘Following My Intuition’ is out September 30th and is available to pre-order on iTunes here.
