Urban Outfitters releases exclusive Lady Gaga Joanne merchandise
Lady Gaga is one of the most decorated, celebrated artists of this millennia and she’s just partnered with Urban Outfitters for a ‘Lady Gaga Joanne Merchandise’ drop. She’s captured the hearts of fans globally with her incredible performance skills, her accepting messages through her music and the way she interacts with her fans. Since her debut back in 2008 with her #1 single ‘Just Dance’, Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) has been one of the biggest popstars in the world.
Five albums later, Lady Gaga’s sound has evolved from bubblegum pop to rock to jazz. Her music is boundless. From the very real and raw debut, ‘The Fame’ Gaga compared the love and lust of someone to the similar feeling she had with garnering fame. This theme was continued with ‘The Fame Monster’ which chronicled the negative parts of a relationship and fame. With her third album ‘Born This Way’ Gaga made a stamp on pop culture as a figure head for the LGBTQ+ community and their rights. This album helped shape the relationship between fan and Lady Gaga.
Now, with the release of her fifth studio album ‘Joanne‘, Gaga went back to her roots and channelled her deceased auntie ‘Joanne’ for whom she gets her namesake from. The album saw incredible critical success with her single ‘Million Reasons’ capturing the hearts of fans worldwide. With her recent Superbowl Halftime Show success and a headline slot at Coachella Music Festival, Lady Gaga announced the ‘Joanne World Tour’. The world tour is set to kick off later this year with all dates on the tour sold out in just minutes. Lady Gaga is continuing her winning streak by announcing a collaboration with retailers Urban Outfitters on an exclusive ‘Joanne’ merchandise collection.
The collection above includes a portrait of Gaga which has also been used on promotional posters for the ‘Joanne World Tour’. The standout piece for me is the crimson bomber jacket which includes a portrait of a young Gaga and her name printed on the back. The jacket is reminiscent of Kanye West’s bomber jackets that have become popular in fashion since his ‘Yeezus’ tour. Go on, have a look at the collection in the UK and US.
