6 things we learned from Harry Styles’ Carpool Karaoke
During the week, we were all teased by the fact that Harry was going to be yet another star to join James on his ever-growing list of people on his Carpool Karaoke list. Finally, on Thursday night’s show, we were all put out of our misery when we finally got to see this TV gold.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Harry has had the opportunity to take part in this feature. Can you believe it was December 2015 that One Direction featured in their very first (and to date, their only) Carpool Karaoke? Fast forward to now, and Harry’s been promoted from the backseat and is riding shotgun with James. Out of the (just over) 13 minutes of the best Carpool to date, here’s a few things we learnt from the journey.
1. Harry plays the air drums really well
We’ve seen Harry play drums before, but watching him play air drums is something else! You can just see the passion within him as he thrashes out on a good old pair of air drums – can’t fault it.
2. What song he gets emotional singing (‘in a cool way’)
Harry admitted that after singing ‘Sign Of The Times’, he sometimes “gets emotional” and has cried a couple of times and got “emotional in a cool way”. Bless his heart.
3. Which Harry song James Corden harmonises best on
I didn’t think James could top THAT note from the 1D Carpool until I heard him singing ‘Sweet Creature’. His harmonising on this track was pretty sick. James, you should come along on tour with Harry and do a cheeky duet, what do you reckon? Harry also revealed that it’s his mother’s favourite track too. What’s your verdict, Mamma Twist?
4. Harry can wear literally ANYTHING
Ok so maybe this isn’t something I learnt from watching this. Let’s face it, we already knew that Harry can literally wear anything and look amazing. Even that stringy vest with sun glasses, hello!
5. What his acting skills are really like
With Dunkirk set to be released this year, James set Harry a challenge to see how well he could act out some scenes from a couple of films. He played the part of Rose from ‘Titanic’ quite convincingly, I thought!
6. How he rocks out in the car to ‘Kiwi’
Since the release of his debut album, I have had pretty much the same reaction whilst listening to ‘Kiwi’. I have had a few funny looks at the traffic lights, not going to lie – but I don’t care. I can imagine Harry rocking out like this to the track when he hears it. Who can blame him? It’s an absolute tune!
