The drought is finally over for Ahgase as GOT7 released their pre-release single “Breath (넌 날 숨 쉬게 해)” and with it, a dazzling music video. “Breath” comes after 7 months since the release of the EP “DYE”. The song is also one of the two title tracks from GOT7 upcoming full album “Breath of Love: Last Piece”.
The song shows member Youngjae’s musical growth as he took part in the songwriting and composition process of “Breath (넌 날 숨 쉬게 해)”, alongside Joo Chanyang, Lavin, and Nihwa. The song is characterized by a unique whistle-like sound as “Breath” expresses the emotions of a fateful encounter that evolves into love.
Listeners’ attention will be captured by a strong sound yet refreshing sound yet able to evoke the feeling of being overwhelmed by falling in love. JB and Jinyoung stir with their soul-shaking vocals while BamBam and Yugyeom sound dreamy with their soft tones. Mark’s characteristic sing-rap style gives the track a lively vibe and Jackson delivers a short but still breathtaking performance, he’s a charm with his husky tones in his stunning rap. Youngjae – who also shows newfound and magnetic confidence – impresses with his singing style and high registers.
The refreshing and catchy track has an endearing lyricism, like heartwarming lines such as, “Breathe in/Breathe out/You and me now/You make me breathe/Deeper and deeper/You’re making me fly” and “My everything changes because of you / You keep me alive, I can feel it / I can feel your love”.
The music video has mesmerizing visuals – thanks to both scenography and the group’s flawless visuals. A treat for your eyes, and your ears. In the music video, all the members captivate fans (and soon-to-be fans) with their styles, confidence and vocals.
To say that GOT7 has delivered an absolute bop perfectly painting GOT7’s true colours would be nothing but an understatement.
Meanwhile, the video has surpassed the 13 million views mark and accumulated over 1.2 million likes on YouTube.
GOT7’s fourth full album “Breath of Love: Last Piece” is set to be released on November 30, 6 pm (KST).
