5 easy bread based recipes you can make at home

0

This week marked bread week on The Great British Bake Off, but don’t fret if you haven’t seen it or have no idea just who the hell Paul Hollywood is. It turns out that there ARE some hacks to making bread based products, and I don’t just mean nipping to the store either.

Contrary to popular belief you don’t even have to spend hours kneading away at dough to get yourself some decent delicacies, all you need is a little patience and a quick pop to the shop if you don’t have the ingredients.

No-Knead Cinnamon Rolls

One of the things that puts me off baking bread is the exercise they make you do when kneading the dough. You won’t even have to work up a sweat with these cinnamon rolls, you can even make the dough in advance and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Soft Cinnamon Pretzels

Sticking with the cinnamon theme why not give these pretzels a whirl? With a cooking time of just 10 minutes, you’ll be lining up fresh pretzels in no time.

Really Easy Bread Rolls

These rolls really do live up to their name, easy. With a proving time of just 30 minutes even the most impatient baker can manage, just whack on an episode of Gilmore Girls and before you know it, you’ll be ready to bake.

Cheat’s Sourdough

Sourdough is an enigma, I’ve heard stories where people keep the dough alive for months in the cupboard and keep feeding it, living off of it and making fresh batches of bread. None of that for this cheat’s version, though. Leave the dough overnight and the hard work’s done for you.

Pizza

Need I say more? If you can make a decent pizza, you’re guaranteed a good life. Invite your friends over, switch up whatever toppings you like and let Tanya Burr show you how to make that delicious dough.
