K-Pop boy group CLOSE YOUR EYES have made their comeback with the track “Open Your Eyes” from their upcoming mini album 256th Note. This marks their fourth project since their debut in April of 2025, and their first EP since last November. The seven members (Jeon Minwook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yeojun, Kim Sungmin, Song Seungho, Kenshin, and Seo Kyoungbae) debuted after being formed through a global survival show called PROJECT 7.

“Open Your Eyes” is a beautiful fusion of jazz, hip hop, and R&B that feels fresh and stands out quite a bit in terms of recent K-Pop releases. CLOSE YOUR EYES collaborated with pianist Yohan Kim and saxophonist Jacob Scesney, leaning heavily into the jazz elements and really taking the instrumental to the next level. It feels like an earnest attempt at expanding their musical range, rather than following trends or watering down the influence to avoid straying too far out of the “safe” zone. The chorus is mesmerizing and the members’ beautifully layered vocals ensure that it’ll be stuck in your head before you’re even done listening.
