New Hope Club have returned to the music scene with their new single ‘Don’t Go Wasting Time’. The trio played the song on their tour last year but it is their first music release of the year.
The brand-new song is wistful, stripped back and pure with the lyrics speaking of letting go of past mistakes. As predicted with each song they release, Blake, Reece and George are growing more and more into their music and songwriting. The band have been heavily influenced by The Beatles and it’s easy to see. You can watch the music video for ‘Don’t Go Wasting Time’ down below.
Reflecting on their growth in the music industry, each of the members commented upon how it has had a direct influence on the band’s music.
George said: “We’re all just very vocal with our feelings and how we want to progress with the music and everything. I think that comes with growing older as well.” Blake agreed, saying: “This band is our baby and our everything and we always want to make sure that everyone’s happy.” Reece concluded with: “I don’t think New Hope Club’s music would be what it is without us writing it.”
George also promises that big things are still in the works for this year: “We just can’t wait for all the songs to come out. We’ve worked so hard on all these songs for the last two and a half years and they’re steadily coming out, so it’s a very exciting time for us and we’re super excited to hear what the fans think.”
