Already thinking about your 2018 tbr? Prepping your list of all the new year new releases? We have the title to top your reading pile.
March 6th, 2018 will herald the return of Brigid Kemmerer with her next young adult release, ‘More Than We Can Tell’. This gorgeous cover is for the US edition and the UK cover is still yet to be revealed.
Brigid Kemmerer is no newcomer to the contemporary genre, as her 2017 release, ‘Letters to the Lost‘ captivated audiences and became one of Zoella’s book club picks for the year. It broke readers hearts with its realistic responses to emotions before sowing them back together with the most adorable of blossoming romances. It proved, as did her previous six book releases, that this is an author unafraid to tackle the taboo or hold back when dealing with the intense or the disquieting. ‘More Than We Can Tell’ promises more of the same!
The new release will follow Rev Fletcher, a name ‘Letters to the Lost’ readers will be familiar with, but both books can be read as stand-alone releases. The theme of letter writing returns and is joined by the presence of another troubling and traumatic subject matter:
Rev Fletcher is battling the demons of his past. But with loving adoptive parents by his side, he’s managed to keep them at bay…until he gets a letter from his abusive father and the trauma of his childhood comes hurtling back.
Emma Blue spends her time perfecting the computer game she built from scratch, rather than facing her parents’ crumbling marriage. She can solve any problem with the right code, but when an online troll’s harassment escalates, she’s truly afraid.
When Rev and Emma meet, they both long to lift the burden of their secrets and bond instantly over their shared turmoil. But when their situations turn dangerous, their trust in each other will be tested in ways they never expected. This must-read story will once again have readers falling for Brigid Kemmerer’s emotional storytelling.
More Than We Can Tell by @brigidkemmerer was everything I had hoped it would be and more. It made my heart ache, it made me smile, and it almost made me cry. Rev & Emma's story was perfectly imperfect and I just loved spending time with all these characters. I hope one day BK returns to this world & tells Matt's story. He, like Rev in Letters to the Lost, captured my heart & I just want to give him a hug. #booksread #irish2017reads #brigidkemmerer #bloomsbury #allthefeels #2018release #bookstagram #instabook #igreads #ya #youngadult #ireadya
