David Archuleta continues to get people in the holiday spirit this year. Following the release of his cover of NSYNC’s “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” (and a music video that included members of the original group), David kicked off his official 2019 Christmas tour in Utah on November 23.

Featuring songs off of the deluxe version of his album Winter In The Air, David proves that it’s never too early to start celebrating. New additions on the album’s deluxe version include his first-ever studio-recorded acapella track, “Still Still Still,” and a cover of Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song.” Each new song brings something different to the album fans originally fell in love with back in 2018. This project continues to show off David’s calming vocals and remarkable range.

“I love ‘The Christmas Song’ by Nat King Cole, so that will be another one that I’m singing as well,” David revealed in an interview with United By Pop.

In terms of “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays,” he explained that he had an incredible time on set for the video with Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick.

“It’s a cheesy, kind of fun Christmas song, so we kind of just went full out with the cheesy. I’m hoping fans will get a good little chuckle from it,” he said.

“Christmas makes you feel like you have something to share. Instead of hearing a personal story, you’re hearing a story that everyone shares together,” David revealed about touring during the holiday season.

David will be touring throughout the United States until the day before Christmas Eve, where the final show will conclude back in Utah where the tour first began. Fans of all ages will be able to enjoy some of their favorite original holiday tracks covered by David Archuleta as well as his own songs and fan-favorites. According to David, these tours are his favorite due to how selfless and joyful they are.

“I don’t have to sing what’s on my mind… I can just sing about praises and ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.’ I feel like the reason why they’re my favorite tours is that the music is not about yourself so much,” He explained.

David hit the road last year to perform holiday classics across the country, and the excitement and praise regarding those performances inspired him to return to both new tour stops and familiar ones for more this year. With a setlist full of holiday favorites and David’s impressively powerful vocals, this is a show that no one wants to miss.
