This week has been awful for movie news… APRIL FOOLS! What a bloody week for new trailers, casting announcements and posters. Here’s a few top picks for this week’s Watchlist.

‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’ – New Trailer

Part commercial and critical success, the ‘Ape’ franchise has seen a revolving cast of characters, and the third instalment is no different. Woody Harrelson is taking the reign as lead for the film, due out in the summer, with this trailer promising as the title states… war. The films have been great, with insane visuals and a story that strikes an emotional chord. This a must-see!

‘Ferdinand’ – New Trailer

Starring WWE’s John Cena and the UK’s own David Tennant, animated ‘Ferdinand’ tells the story of a bull with a giant heart. From the director of the very successful ‘Rio’, ‘Ferdinand’ is set to be a huge hit this Christmas when it’s released in December. Let’s hope this is a great family watch!

‘Valerian’ – New Trailer

Yes okay, Cara Delevingne as an actress has been questionable in her last two major attempts (‘Paper Town’ and ‘Suicide Squad’), but in the hands of iconic director Luc Besson from ‘The Fifth Element’ fame, can she become a great heroine? Based on the ground-breaking comic book series, ‘Valerian’ is set to be the next big Sci-Fi franchise—filling the void the long awaited ‘Avatar’ sequel created. Oh yes, Rihanna also plays a shape shifter in the film. ‘Valerian’ is out this summer!

‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ – New Poster

After the great commercial and critical success of the original film, the ‘Kingsman’ series is expanding with its sequel ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’, following the U.S version of the beloved organisation. Colin Firth is set to make a return (somehow), and new cast members such as Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum and Elton John (yes, Sir Elton John) join the cast. The film is set to be bigger and badder than the first ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’.

‘Snatched’ – New Trailer

Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn in a mother-daughter action comedy adventure? I’m already sold. Coming out of acting retirement for this movie seems to be a brilliant move on Hawn’s behalf, as she and Schumer are able to bounce off each other effortlessly in this brand new trailer for ‘Snatched’. Released on the U.S. Mother’s Day weekend, the film is set to smash the box office weekend bringing audiences alike to come watch and belly laugh for the hour and a half showing time.
