Okay, so… what do you do when BLACKPINK sets Wembley Stadium in London on fire (literally what happened during “Playing With Fire”)? You scream, you cry, you lose your voice, and then… you write about it. BLACKPINK made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline Wembley Stadium, and after just having their 9th anniversary, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA delivered a night that felt like pure magic. It was a show where each member got their moment but also showcased they are still THAT group.

The show started with an exceptional performance of “Kill This Love”, and thats how you really open a show! It got followed-up by their iconic hits “Pink Venom” and “How You Like That” Fireworks lit up the sky (it almost made you think it was New Years Eve), and then Wembley literally went up in flames with “Playing With Fire”. A sharp dance break after “Shut Down” had BLINKs screaming like the night had only just started. BLACKPINK weren’t easing into Wembley; they were kicking the door down and saying, “We’re here, and we’re bigger than ever.”

We know that BLACKPINK are such an iconic girl group as they have already been around for 9 years. However, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA have individually involved themselves as true solo artists in the last two years. During the first part of the show JISOO came out first for her solo, stunning everyone with “earthquake” and “Your Love”, flawless vocals, insane choreo, total star power. This is not my first time seeing BLACKPINK, and I must admit that JISOO really impressed me during this show, she only got better and had a lot of BLINKs (including me), hooked! Then it was LISA her turn to show the audience what she got. LISA never disappoints with her performances, her solo stage for “THUNDER” and “Lifestyle” were amazing, and she really got the stadium in her hands when she surprisingly started to perform her smash-hit “Rockstar”.

After the solos, the four came back together and hit the stage with “Pretty Savage”. The choreo was sharp and refreshing to look at. The crowd enjoyed it too, whilst you could feel the bass pounding in your chest. Then the mood shifted. “Don’t Know What To Do” was one of those songs that felt almost too perfect for a stadium. BLINKs were singing along word for word, and their voices floated over the sea of pink lightsticks. It was a softer, vulnerable moment — the kind that makes you remember why you fell for BLACKPINK in the first place and it was a true connection between them and their BLINKs.

Next up was “Whistle” a throwback that hits many BLINKs their hearts. The whistles echoed through Wembley like an anthem, with thousands of voices blending into one. From the floor to the very top rows, everyone was moving together. And then… “Stay” Easily one of the most emotional parts of the night. The girls stood close, voices weaving together, while the audience swayed, lightsticks glowing like stars. It felt like Wembley turned into one giant family for those few minutes.

Closing out the act was “Lovesick Girls” and wow — it was amazing. That bittersweet chorus carried through the stadium, and BLINKs screamed every single lyric back at them. For me, this was the peak of connection between BLACKPINK and the fans — a moment where the music wasn’t just being performed, it was being shared.

Back to the solo spotlight; JENNIE lit up the stage with “Handlebars / With the IE (Way Up)” and “like JENNIE”, both were pure charisma. Then it was ROSÉ’s turn — after cheekily biting into a real English tea cake with FKA Twigs and downing a shot, she gave us “dance all night”, “toxic till the end,” and the explosive “APT.” The stadium went feral… I don’t want to say that a solo song was an highlight of mine, but “APT.” secretly might be one, it’s just one of those iconic songs!

Then the last act with the group started with their latest single “JUMP”, sending the stadium bouncing, then “BOOMBAYAH” turned Wembley into a giant club. “DDU-DU DDU-DU” shook the ground, “As If It’s Your Last” had everyone dancing and “Forever Young” wrapped the main set with pure euphoria. For the encore, BLINKs have been given one more chance to sing their hearts out for one more time. A reprise of “JUMP”, “Yeah Yeah Yeah”, and “Kick It” gave every fan a rollercoaster of emotions. It was the perfect way to close a perfect night.

By the encore’s final bow, the girls were grinning ear to ear, throwing hearts, waving, and taking in the sight of thousands of BLINKs screaming their names. It didn’t feel like just a concert anymore, it was a truly a shared victory.

Nine years into their career, BLACKPINK didn’t just headline Wembley Stadium, they owned every single momengt. From the explosions of “Kill This Love,” to the raw vulnerability of “Stay”, to the chaos of the encore, every second was crafted to remind BLINKs why this group isn’t just big — they’re once-in-a-generation. BLACKPINK weren’t just in Wembley. They were Wembley. And if you were there, you’ll never forget it.
