Do you get Deja Vu? Olivia Rodrigo hopes you do, because sad girl summer is back. After a successful run with the GUTS World Tour, the pop star has finally announced her third album’s title, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so in Love. The album is set to release on June 12th, and fans already have conspiracy theories about the 13 tracks yet to be announced.
Before the album announcement, there had been several hints referring to possible song titles. Just a week before the announcement, the Olivia Rodrigo Hotline, which is only available in North America, had a voice message saying:
“If you are hearing this on the last day of Pisces season, March 20th, this message was meant for you. Take what resonates and leave what does not. Waiting for your destiny may feel like watching paint dry, but your patience will be rewarded soon. You may think you have all the answers, but the universe has more to share. The writing is on the wall, but the 1st message may not paint the full picture. Trust your intuition. Expect true clarity and renewal just after the pink moon. Until then, follow the stars, your guides, and your heart, knowing that the best is yet to come.”
The message highlights the words Stars, Moon, and Universe. These words either hinted towards something bigger, like song lyrics or song titles, or they threw fans off because they thought the album was going to be a four-letter word. However, in previous Olivia Rodrigo content, we have seen a moon before. On the GUTS world tour, she performed “Logical” while sitting on a moon that levitated across arenas. Additionally, her GUTS album tour poster featured a picture of her throwing up multicolored stars. And lastly, in her Saturday Night Live (SNL) performance, she wore the baby pink color that’s on the third album cover. And lastly, the pink moon and the iconic Los Angeles wall had to be a sign. The wall was repainted the same shade of pink as the album teaser and has the title painted in a fancy font.
Olivia’s mysterious clues are just the beginning of a new era. Livies are manifesting a Single release date soon. And—we can’t wait to see what LiviesHQ has in store this summer. The album is now available for pre-order.
