Time really flies when you’re watching your favourite group grow! It’s hard to believe that its already been three years since PSYCHIC FEVER made their debut, and in that time, they’ve given us unforgettable music, powerful performances, and a lot more. As they celebrate their 3rd debut anniversary, the members are reflecting on how far they’ve come, and looking ahead to even bigger dreams. With their latest EP PSYCHIC FILE III and their first-ever fan meetings in Berlin and London coming up, PSYCHIC FEVER sat down to chat about everything from emotional milestones and pre-show rituals to who’s the most competitive when the games come out (spoiler alert: it’s Kokoro). ForEVERs, this one is for you!

Congratulations on your anniversary as a group! What does hitting your 3rd debut
anniversary mean to you personally and as a group?

RYOGA: Looking back, we’ve achieved so many things as a group just within these three years,
and we’ve learned so much along the way. From our first debut album, “P.C.F.” to “PSYCHIC
FILE III” now, we’re truly grateful for all of the positive feedback and support that we’ve gotten
from ForEVERs, and we want them to know that they are our main motivators in our climb to the
top. This third anniversary milestone is just a signal that we have more growing potential and
even bigger things are on the way. We will work hard to release more music and create even
more memories with ForEVERs all around the world this year!

What would you tell your debut-era selves if you could?

KOKORO: We would tell ourselves to be patient and that everything will work out– all we have
to do is stay on the grind. We’ve had lots of ups and downs ever since we became a group and
have definitely had restless nights where our efforts felt fruitless. However, ForEVERs ended up
finding us in the end through our music! This just proves that as long as we keep doing what we
do, we will find people who truly understand us and all of our efforts will be rewarded.

You’re coming to Europe to celebrate this with your fans. What are you most excited about for your first-ever fan meetings in Berlin and London?

JIMMY: Usually when we perform, we showcase a professional and cool side of us – however,
with this fan meeting tour, we’re looking forward to sharing our playful, intimate, and even silly
sides that fans might not get to see too often. The fact that this is our first-ever fan meeting in
Europe is also exciting for us, as it presents a unique opportunity to meet fans face-to-face and
get to know them better. We hope they are looking forward to it as much as we do!

You are going to play some games at your fan meeting. Who’s the most competitive in games?
PSYCHIC FEVER: KOKORO! He’s always excited to play, makes the biggest reactions, and sulks if he doesn’t win.

What’s one thing fans might not know about each member?
For RYUSHIN: He loves snacks and is always munching away on something in the break room.
For WEESA: He gets lonely very easily and has to always keep himself busy or have
background noise when he does things alone.
For TSURUGI: He looks happy-go-lucky on the outside, but is actually a very deep thinker who
likes to follow his own style of doing things.
For KOKORO: KOKORO has a stoic personality and treats performances very seriously – so
much so that he won’t speak much a day before a show to keep his voice intact!
For RYOGA: He loves watching romantic reality shows in his off time and is always looking for
new ones to watch.
For REN: He likes to sleep with something fluffy – like fluffy PJs, plushies, etc.

What’s your pre-show ritual?
TSURUGI:
All of our pre-show rituals are different – we have people warming up their voices,
stretching, and listening to energetic songs. However, just before going up to the stage, we tend
to do a big group huddle, say a chant, and do fist bumps to hype each other up.

If you weren’t in PSYCHIC FEVER, what job or dream would you be chasing?
RYOGA: Soccer player
WEESA: Visual artist.
JIMMY: Basketball player
TSURUGI: FBI
REN: A dancer.
RYUSHIN: A dancer.
KOKORO: Bartender.

Love that haha. Let’s talk about your new EP, PSYCHIC FEVER III. Can you tell us the story or theme
behind it?
REN:
PSYCHIC FILE III is our exciting yet challenging attempt at experimenting with our music.
We wanted to showcase a more mature and adult-like concept that contrasts from all of our
previous releases. Its genre-bending sounds allowed us to express diverse sides of our charms,
and that truly allowed us to grow both individually and as a team.

Which track on the new EP is most personal to you, and why?
RYUSHIN:
While all of the songs are special to our hearts, we would say “EVOLVE”! It has the
same name as our tour, and it is a symbol that we are changing day by day for the better to
showcase a better version of ourselves as artists. That’s why we love this song a lot. The lyrics
say it all– please go and have a listen!

What would you like to say to your ForEVERs who’ve supported you from day one?
KOKORO: Thank you for staying with us for such a long, long time. We feel all of your warm
support on the daily. We will work hard and develop our artistry to reciprocate all of your love
and anticipation. Please continue to support us in our journey– we’re just getting started!

We want to thank PSYCHIC FEVER so much for their time. Don’t forget to stream PSYCHIC FILE Ⅲ right here. Do you want to meet these lovely bunch in Berlin and London? Then get your tickets for the fan meeting right here!
