Niall Horan is still very close with his One Direction band mates and we’re bursting with joy

In a recent big interview, our favourite Irishman opens up about a lot of things, but one thing you’ll be delighted to know is that Niall Horan stays connected with One Direction. Was there ever any doubt he’d keep close contact?

Speaking to Billboard about a multitude of things, Niall said, “I see Louis and [his son] little Freddie all the time. He lives around the corner from me [in Los Angeles].”

He’s even bought a gift for the new baby Payno, but with scheduling conflicts, Liam and Niall haven’t been able to see each other. Whatever he’s bought, we’re sure Bear is going to love it. As for Harry, Nialler planned to go and see him during his visit in LA for his weeklong residency on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’.

It seems Niall is still very much the big 1D fanboy he was when the band first united back in 2010 as he shares how much he loved seeing Harold on ‘Saturday Night Live’ with his appearance in the ‘Family Feud’ skit. “I loved his brilliant impression of Mick Jagger,” he said, and as for Styles’ musical performances, “I really enjoyed them. He’s smashin’ it.”

It seems as though Niall also has no bad blood with former One Direction member, Zayn Malik, as when it was brought up about Z’s recent negative comments of his time in the band, he said, “Oh, pfft. I know what Zayn’s like — outspoken, and fair play to him.” That’s our Nialler – sees the good in absolutely everyone.

So, how does it feel for Niall to go from a boyband to a solo artist? “Every now and then you’re like, ‘Fookin’ hell, where is everyone?’” he says. “You’re sitting in an airport lounge, they call you for a plane, and you don’t stand up initially because you’re waiting on everyone else, you know? ‘Oh, Louis’ll be back from the toilet in a minute.’” Bless him!

Niall discusses a number of topics including advice from Justin Bieber, his friendship with Selena Gomez and even wanting there to be a 1D reunion in the next few years. Catch his cover issue of ‘Billboard’ out on 3rd June.
