We’re treating you in this week’s radar to some of the best new music to come out of the United States and the United Kingdom. With some huge names like Paramore, Dua Lipa and Emma Blackery dropping new tracks, you won’t be disappointed.
Sawyer – ‘Easy Now’
Described as ‘indie sparkle pop’, Sawyer offer a burst of refreshing and intricate guitar-twinged sounds.
Emma Blackery – ‘Nothing Without You’
With news of Emma’s brand new 6-track EP, ‘Magnetised’ due for release May 26th, we’ve also been blessed with the official video for the emotionally-charged ‘Nothing Without You’. If you want to catch her live, she kicks off her tour on May 27th in Dublin.
Kris Kross Amsterdam & Conor Maynard – ‘Are You Sure?’
If you were a fan of Conor Maynard’s original ‘Are You Sure?’, prepare for it to be totally flipped on its head – in a good way. Dutch production trio Kris Kross join the party and add in some choppy twisted synths and vocal samples.
Paramore – ‘Hard Times’
Paramore have been around for 10 years, but that doesn’t stop them from making catchy hooks that’ll latch themselves into your head for days. ‘Hard Times’ is the first single to be lifted from their brand new album, ‘After Laughter’ due for release May 12th.
Charlotte Bash – ‘Leave’
Charlotte spent most of her youth exploring the music scene, and it’s paid off. ‘Leave’, the lead single taken from her upcoming debut album, ‘Princess Game’ is a powerful song filled with self-confidence and belief that paves the way for the rest of the record.
Everywhere – ‘Man Up’
Filled with analogue synths and a bassline that’s impossible not to move along to, ‘Man Up’ dives into themes about unfulfilled expectations and dominant partners. Speaking their journey so far Everywhere said, “We’re currently working on an album, it’s still early but hopefully it should be out this fall.”
Kylie Hughes – ‘Heat’
‘Heat’ marks the first single to be taken from Kylie Hughes’ forthcoming self-titled debut album. The video sees her take to California’s Irwindale Speedway in a ‘Talladega Nights’ inspired piece.
Hicari – ‘Stellar’
If you’re a fan of Chvrches or The 1975, Hicari need to be on your radar. ‘Stellar’ oozes 90s pop vibes with synth hooks that sound absolutely perfect for the upcoming summer months.
Rebecca Raw – ‘Connection’
Rebecca Raw already boasts a degree from the prestigious Cambridge University, she’s also a dab hand at the cello. Speaking about ‘Connection’ the first track taken from her EP Rebecca explained that the song is “an intensely personal exploration of a widely-shared experience: the desire for deeper, more dependable relationships in a time where many are shallow and fleeting.”
Dua Lipa ft. Miguel – ‘Lost in Your Light’
