Sometimes we all need a little help and advice in life, and that’s exactly what Gemma Cairney’s book ‘Open: A Toolkit for How Magic and Messed Up Life Can Be’ is all about. Taking experience from her own life, and helping those on BBC Radio 1’s The Surgery, Gemma gives honest advice on everything from mental health and body image, to families and first love, and everything in between.

Speaking about the upcoming release Gemma said, “As a communicator who believes in approaching life with an open heart and opening up big and important conversations, to write this book is a dream come true. This will be a life resource book, a toolkit of the big, brilliant and bad stuff that happens to nearly all of us. Through personal insight, beautiful imagery and expert advice, I want to offer hope and a huge comforting cuddle to young people questioning what life’s all about or dealing with hard times.”

‘Open’ is more than a book, it’s a movement for open hearts and open minds, there will also be an accompanying podcast, audiobook and open top double decker bus touring the UK offering advice, guidance and support.
