Selena Gomez News on Twitter said it best: Nothing has been confirmed. But the internet is absolutely buzzing with the rumor that Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez are teaming up for a collaboration.

Disney is making a new live-action version of its 1992 animated film ‘Aladdin’, due out in 2019. They only finished casting in September of last year, so the movie is still clearly in the early stages of production, but who will feature on the soundtrack is a hot topic. Remember the live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast‘ remake with Emma Watson that had that epic Ariana Grande/John Legend duet?
Well, whispers on the street (read: Twitter) are saying that Selena and Zayn will be the Ariana and John of ‘Aladdin’. Take a second to picture their voices singing ‘A Whole New World’, and you’ll be as eager as we are to jump on this rumor.
Selena most recently teamed up with Marshmello for their single ‘Wolves’, which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in December. Zayn’s last track was also a collaboration: ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ featuring Sia spent 17 weeks on that same chart.
