Calvin Harris and Katy Perry tweet their two cents about Hiddleswift

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s outrageously/very much so/extremely public relationship has (unsurprisingly) gained a lot attention. Since its debut via photos of them kissing on a rock, we’ve also had the intimate pleasure of seeing them traveling through Italy, meeting the parents, and partying it up for the Fourth of July. It seems wherever they go, the paparazzi go—but who really gets there first?

Unfortunately, Taylor’s quick jump from boyfriend to boyfriend has also attracted some not-so-positive attention. Ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris had a lot to say on the subject today on Twitter.

It starts out innocently enough, with Calvin complimenting Taylor’s singing and song writing skills while retweeting a People article about Taylor’s credits on ‘This Is What You Came For’.

He adds, “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially [Taylor] wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.” Just the word “secret” brings up thoughts of the whole Taylor versus Kimye debacle, doesn’t it?

But then, Calvin’s tone takes a turn. “Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” he tweets, referring to his claim that it was Taylor’s choice to keep her work on the song a secret. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.

“I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it,” he continues. “Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one.”

He ends the Twitter rant by saying, “God bless everyone have a beautiful day.”

Katy Perry (who, you may recall, was supposedly the subject of Taylor’s song ‘Bad Blood’) wittily adds her own comments by simply tweeting a GIF and retweeting an old tweet of her own that reads, “Time, the ultimate truth teller.”

Katy and Calvin have a combined 98.26 million Twitter followers.
