5 pet peeves about driving that are so relatable

You would think driving on the roads is simple. You thought wrong. The amount of idiots on the road is horrendous, and it’s no wonder I have road rage. To quote one of my family friends. “You have to pretend everyone on the road just escaped a mental asylum.” Oh, the accuracy is too real.

I’ve listed five pet peeves about driving that annoy the hell out of me. Sit back and laugh about how relatable this will be.

USING YOUR INDICATORS

People, use your indictors when changing lanes. So easy, yet most drivers just YOLO it and don’t use it. Oh, I didn’t realise you owned this road, please continue to break the law. One second you’ll be singing and loving life, the next you find yourself cursing mid-song because someone swerved into your lane with no indication.

BAD PARKING

Do people even know how to park? Clearly not, as some people like to park right on the white line. No consideration for those of us who can actually park. If you do this, you need to re-read your learners book again. Good one, buddy.

SPEEDSTERS

Maybe it’s just me, but if I’m going the speed limit, why do people behind me get angry? I’ll be minding my own business and out of nowhere this car speeds up right behind me and starts honking. Excuse me, what? Go be a hero somewhere else, I actually like to keep my life thanks. And then that awkward but hilarious moment when you both reach the red light… Yeah that’s right, look away.

BEEPING AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS

This doesn’t happen as much, but when it does, oh man, does my blood boil. Picture this: the lights have just turned green when suddenly, this moron behind you starts beeping at you to go. Oh my god, did you just? It has literally been a fraction of a second, are you for real? Some people have no patience.

HEAVY TRAFFIC

I know this can’t be helped much, but it’s still frustrating af. Especially if you’re driving home from work and forced to sit in traffic for a while. Thank god for my aux cord and my amazing tunes.

So there you have it. Five painfully accurate things that annoy me on the road. Don’t lie, you can relate to every single one of these.
